SARATOGA―Stewart’s Shops has recalled two half-gallon ice cream flavors that were sold at all locations due to possible metal contamination.
The Heavenly Medley and Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry trio flavors were sold between July 17 and October 2, according to Friday’s recall notice.
The cartons subject to the recall have best-by dates of February 10, 2027 for the Heavenly Medley and February 11, 2027 for the Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry trio.
According to Stewart’s Shops, the recall was prompted after a customer found a metal object in their ice cream.
Stewart’s Shops says anyone who purchased these half gallons should not consume the ice cream and return them for a full refund.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported and Stewart’s Shops has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the recall.
