Man charged with public lewdness in Walmart parking lot

CATSKILL—A man has been arrested after police say he was observed engaging in a lewd act in the Walmart parking lot.
According to the Catskill Police Department, officers received a report from a woman at approximately 3:14 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, who claimed she witnessed a man committing a lewd act inside of a vehicle parked outside the Walmart in Catskill Commons.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage from the parking lot and, using the witness’ description, identified the suspect as Francis C. West Jr., 66, of Palenville, according the Catskill Police Department.
West was charged with public lewdness, a class B misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket to Catskill Town Court.
