Greene County Family Planning is now Greene County Community Health

CATSKILL—Greene County is pleased to announce that Greene County Family Planning, a division of Greene County Public Health, has officially rebranded as Greene County Community Health. The new name reflects the clinic’s growth, expanded services, and commitment to providing accessible, inclusive, and comprehensive health care for all members of the community.

Since 1972 when Greene County Family Planning opened its doors, the clinic has evolved far beyond its original scope. While family planning remains a core service, the clinic now offers a broad range of reproductive and sexual health care, clinical support for opioid recovery, and general healthcare services such as physicals, cancer screenings, and immunizations. After community surveys and listening to feedback from patients, county employees, and community members, it became clear that the former name no longer represented the full breadth of care available.

“Our new name, Greene County Community Health, better reflects who we are today and where we’re headed,” shared Clinic Administrator Carrie Gordon-Stacey. “We’re proud to provide compassionate, confidential, and affordable care for everyone in Greene County.”

Greene County Community Health offers:

• Physical exams, cancer screenings, immunizations, and pregnancy testing

• Gynecological evaluation and treatment, STI testing and treatment, and HIV testing and PrEP services

• Perimenopausal management

• Same-day access to birth control, including IUDs and implants, and an in-house pharmacy with no copays, Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and clinical support for recovery

• A teen walk-in clinic every Wednesday from 3–6 p.m., plus mobile clinic outreach throughout the county

• Sliding fee and low-cost options for uninsured patients, and acceptance of Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and most insurance plans

Locations:

• The main clinic site is located at 411 Main Street, Suite 300, Catskill, NY

• A satellite clinic operates at Columbia-Greene Community College on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• The Mobile Health Van provides scheduled clinical services throughout Greene County the county.
