HUDSON―The Olana Partnership will launch its free Third Thursday Outdoor Evenings at Olana on June 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Olana State Historic Site.

Celebrate this special Frederic Church 200 anniversary year, Church’s global travels, and the beauty of the Hudson Valley with free house and landscape access, a special line up of outdoor music from around the world, and a movie on the East Lawn.

Thursday, June 18 | 6-7 p.m.

Enjoy a dynamic performance by rhythm-driven ensemble Illari, led by Peruvian percussionist Angel Michael Laua.

Thursday, July 16 | 6-7 p.m.

Singer-songwriter Mario Rincon brings a bilingual blend of flamenco cante, Latin-American folklore, and classic Americana to Olana. Experience music inspired by the sounds of Andalusia and Appalachia against the backdrop of Olana’s breathtaking views.

Thursday, August 20 | 7:30-10 p.m. | Showtime at 8 p.m.

Join a special showing of the 2003 classic Holes, presented in collaboration with The Olana Partnership, Story Screen, and Hudson Area Library. This fantasy-adventure film is based on the 1998 novel, fun for the whole family, and perfect for a movie night under the stars!  Includes free popcorn and water bottles/juice boxes while supplies last. Presented in English with Spanish subtitles. A shuttle will be available from the Hudson Area Library as part of Olana’s Third Thursday/Tercer Jueves from 6-10 p.m.

Thursday, September 17 | 6-7 p.m.

Celebrate the end of summer with LA MANGA, an all-female band who combines the power of Afro-Caribbean Colombian traditions with vibrant contemporary energy. Take in Olana’s breathtaking views and honor the heritage of Colombia, a country that deeply inspired the artist Frederic Church.

Thursday, October 15 | 6-7 p.m.

Enjoy a fall evening at Olana during this Third Thursday closing concert with Larry Chernicoff, an award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist. Larry and accompanying musicians will put on a contemporary jazz performance inspired by Olana’s scenic landscape.
