CATSKILL―Catskill Collectibles, a destination for Catskills history, vintage treasures, local memorabilia, souvenirs and regional art, is excited to announce its expansion into the space next door at 386-388 Main Street in Catskill.

The expansion will give Catskill Collectibles, founded in 2005, significantly more room to showcase its growing collection and provide visitors with an improved and more enjoyable shopping experience.

At the heart of the expanded store will remain the Catskills themselves. Catskill Collectibles specializes in the history, culture, people, places, and stories that have made the Catskill Mountains such an important part of New York's heritage. From vintage and new regional souvenirs, historic photographs to postcards, books, advertising, ephemera, and unusual objects from the region's past, the shop offers visitors an opportunity to take a piece of Catskills history home with them.

The expanded space will also place an increased emphasis on local and regional artists, providing additional opportunities to discover artwork and creative pieces inspired by the Catskills and the surrounding Hudson Valley.

"We're very excited about this next chapter for Catskill Collectibles," said Tom Illari, owner of Catskill Collectibles.

"The Catskills have such an incredible history and artistic tradition, and we want the store to reflect that. Expanding into the space next door allows us to display more of our collection, feature more local artists, and create a shopping experience that feels uniquely Catskill,” said Illari.

The new space will allow the store to better showcase its collections while giving customers more room to browse, discover, and learn about the history behind the objects. The goal is not simply to create a larger store, but to create a destination for people who love the Catskills—whether they are longtime residents, collectors, history enthusiasts, artists, or visitors discovering Catskill for the first time.

Catskill Collectibles also sees the expansion as part of the continued revitalization and growth of Main Street Catskill.

"Shopping locally is an important part of keeping our downtown vibrant," Illari added. "We want people to come to Main Street, explore the shops, discover something special, and experience what makes Catskill such a great community."

With its expanded footprint, Catskill Collectibles will continue its mission of preserving and celebrating the history of the Catskills while supporting the artists, makers, businesses, and community that continue to shape the region today.

A soft opening is scheduled for Saturday, November 14 from noon to 5 p.m. and a grand re-opening is planned for Friday, December 4 from noon to 8 p.m.
