UPS delivery truck catches fire in Rensselaerville

RENSSELAERVILLE―No one was injured when a UPS delivery truck caught fire on a rural hilltown road late Friday afternoon.
It was around 5:08 p.m. that fire departments from Tri-Village, Medusa and Rensselaerville were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on Cheese Hill Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the UPS truck fully engulfed in flames.
According to the Tri-Village Volunteer Fire Company, the driver made it out safely before crews arrived and was able to remove the majority of packages from the truck. There were no hazardous materials onboard.
Firefighters were quickly able to bring the fire under control but the UPS truck was a total loss.
