
CATSKILL―Three people are facing drug charges after the Greene County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Main Street in Catskill.
Brian Ackert, 47, Joshua LaClair, 42, and Elizabeth LaClair, 35, are each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony, and manufacturing drug-related paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. All three reside in the Village of Catskill.
In addition, Ackert is charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
According to the sheriff’s office, a search warrant was executed on Tuesday, August 4 at a residence on Main Street near the intersection of Church Street. During the search, the sheriff's office said a quantity of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, packaging that is commonly used for the sale of narcotics, and cash were recovered.
Joshua and Elizabeth LaClair were arraigned in Catskill Town Court and released on their own recognizance.
Ackert was remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail on an outstanding probation violation arrest warrant and will be arraigned on the drug charges at a later date.
