CAIRO―Bank of Greene County has made a recent donation to the American Legion Mohican Post 983 in Cairo to support the maintenance and display of American flags throughout the community.
For many years, Mohican Post 983 has played a key role in honoring veterans and maintaining a visible sense of community pride by placing American flags along roadways and in public spaces throughout the Cairo and Round Top areas.
In appreciation for the bank’s years of support, members of the Legion recently presented Bank President Don Gibson and Cairo Manager Christa Bush with a commemorative display flag, now on display at the Cairo Branch. The gesture reflects the Bank and American Legion’s commitment to serving the local community.
“The Bank is honored to support the Legion’s efforts to maintain this tradition,” said Gibson. “Their dedication helps maintain an important sense of community connection here in Cairo.”
“The flags are something residents and visitors alike notice and appreciate, and we’re happy to support the Legion’s efforts year after year,” added Bush.
