RAVENA―A local woman is facing felony charge after police say she drove drunk with five children in her vehicle.
On January 11, Coeymans Police stopped a vehicle on Main Street in Ravena for alleged erratic operation.
The driver, Tara Drobner, 35, of Coeymans, was ultimately charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor; five counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a felony; and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Drobner was also ticketed for allegedly having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Police said the five children in the vehicle were unrestrained, including a two-year-old who was sitting on the lap of a male passenger.
Drobner was arraigned and released to appear in Coeymans Town Court at a later date.
