GREENVILLE―A Patriots Burial Marker will be dedicated on Saturday, October 17, 3 p.m., at the Locust Cemetery on Maple Avenue, Norton Hill.
The marker commemorates ten Greenville-area people, buried at the cemetery, who served in the American Revolution.
Joining the several speakers, the American Legion Color Guard will enhance the ceremony with a rifle salute, chaplain prayer, taps, and singing of the National Anthem.
Attendees are asked to dress for the weather as this event is outdoors.
A previous Porcupine Soup article (link here) detailed the service of those recognized. Since then, one additional person has been found.
