COXSACKIE―National Bank of Coxsackie (NBC) is proud to announce its recent $3,500 donation to the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society.
The funds were made possible through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), which enables member banks like NBC to support local organizations that strengthen communities and preserve regional heritage.
The Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the historic Hudson-Athens Lighthouse, a treasured landmark on the Hudson River. Through restoration efforts, educational programs, and community engagement, the organization works to maintain the lighthouse as both a historic resource and a symbol of the region’s maritime heritage.
“NBC is proud to support the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society and the important work they do to preserve one of our region’s most iconic landmarks,” said John Balli, president & CEO of the National Bank of Coxsackie.
“The lighthouse represents a meaningful piece of local history, and we are honored to help ensure it remains a source of pride and education for the community through this FHLB grant,” Balli added.
Founded in 1852, the National Bank of Coxsackie has been serving the Capital Region and Hudson Valley for over 170 years, offering a full range of personal and business banking products and services. NBC remains committed to strengthening the communities it serves through financial support, volunteerism, and partnership. The bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of NBC Bancorp, Inc. (OTCPK: NCXS).
