ATHENS―The Village of Athens Police Department is proud to announce that they have received a $5,000 grant from CSX Transportation.

The funds, provided via the Military and First Responder Grant Program, will be used for critical safety equipment for local officers.

CSX is a leading supplier of rail-based freight transportation in North America. The grants are intended to serve those who serve and are available to organizations that honor and support national and local heroes―veterans, active military and first responders.

“A huge thank you to the CSX Community Investment team for supporting our local first responders,” The Village of Athens Police Department stated.
