CATSKILL—In Flight, Inc. hosted its 5th Annual Cornhole For A Cause & Community Festival on Saturday, October 17 at Dutchman’s Landing in Catskill. The annual fundraiser brought together community members, local businesses, vendors, and supporters for a day of entertainment and friendly competition, raising over $32,000 to support In Flight’s programs and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed live music by Big Empty, walkabout magic by magician Sean Doolan, face painting by The Party Painter, photobooth by TestTone AV, and live chainsaw carving by Catskills Carver. Local vendors offered a variety of goods, adding to the festival atmosphere and giving guests plenty to explore throughout the event.
The festival also featured a pay-to-play cornhole tournament, food, raffles, a silent auction, and a 50/50 drawing, giving attendees plenty of ways to participate while supporting In Flight’s mission. The event concluded with a sensory-friendly drone light show over the Hudson River, returning for its second year as a highlight of the festival.
This event was made possible with generous support of local businesses. In Flight extended a special thank you to Presenting Sponsor Hudson Regional LTC Pharmacy and Enchanter Sponsors MVP Health Care and The Bank of Greene for their continued support of Cornhole For A Cause and In Flight’s mission.
Funds raised at Cornhole For A Cause support In Flight’s residential services, day habilitation, job training, and community integration programs across Greene, Columbia, Ulster, and Dutchess counties. These programs support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to pursue their goals, build relationships, participate in their communities, and experience a meaningful quality of life.
In Flight, Inc. extends its sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s festival possible, including its sponsors, vendors, performers, volunteers, auction and raffle donors, and community members. Their generosity and involvement help make Cornhole For A Cause a community tradition while supporting In Flight’s mission.
In Flight’s annual Cornhole For A Cause fundraiser will return next year under a new name: Community For A Cause. The event is scheduled for September 25, 2027, at Dutchman’s Landing, continuing the tradition of bringing the community together in support of In Flight, Inc.
