



Sara J. Bull (Johnson) passed away Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.
Her legacy began on the family's farm in Friendsville, PA, where she grew up with her two sisters (Betty and Nancy) and two brothers (Bud and Gary).
She graduated from Vestal High School and then moved on to earn her Nursing Degree at the Albany Medical Center, School of Nursing. Her graduation in 1965 marked the beginning of an extraordinary career as a Registered Nurse at both the Albany Medical Center and Robert Packer Hospitals. For more than 50 years she made the Operating Room her professional home where she served patients with skill, calm, and compassion. She was widely known and respected among her colleagues for her knowledge, professionalism, steady presence, sharp wit, and a deep commitment to patient care.
In May 1971, she married a dashing southern gentleman with whom she shared a wonderful 35 year adventure. Together they grew their family until Amos was called home to the Lord in 2006. Sara continued to serve as the matriarch of the family they built until she joined the love of her life in Heaven almost exactly 20 years later.
She is predeceased by her husband (Amos), granddaughter (Alex), her mother and father (Mildred and Raymond Johnson), her sisters (Betty Golden and Nancy Wage) and brothers (Bud and Gary Johnson), and various nieces and nephews.
She is survived by; her son and daughter (John and Melissa), her grandchildren (Kelsey, Jackson, Aiden, lan), great grandchild (Issac) and numerous nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart.
She will be remembered for her dedication to helping others, her strength, and the care she gave both in her profession and to those she loved. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her work and in the hearts of her family and friends.
Services will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17 at Brady & Sons Funeral Home in Coxsackie, NY.
The Capital Region Nurses Honor Guard will conduct a service at 5:30 p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the W.C. Brady’s Funeral Home in Coxsackie.
