Rebecca Schulze, 53, of Germantown, NY passed peacefully on August 19 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

“Becky” was born on January 12, 1973, in Chicago, IL to Margo Weaver and Paul Lasky.

On June 22, 1992, she gave birth to her only child and best friend, Julia, who she named after one of her favorite Beatles songs. Julia was her pride and joy.

On September 29, 2007, Becky married the love of her life and childhood crush, Albert Schulze. They spent 24 unforgettable years together, building a beautiful life in Linlithgo.

If you knew Becky, you might also know that she excelled in her career as a bookkeeper, working independently for several clients before taking on the role as office manager for Morabito Lawn & Tree Care. She thrived off of spreadsheets, organization, and planning. Becky was not only the life of the party but was often the brains behind it. She hosted annual Oktoberfests that were highly anticipated by family and friends every year.

Her happy places were snuggling on the couch with her dog Charlie and cruising the Hudson River on her pontoon boat with family and friends. She loved to travel―whether it be beach or city, sand or skyscrapers. Becky will always be remembered as a kind yet fierce spirit who held her family and values close to her heart.

Being the oldest of seven kids, she was a natural at taking care of and helping people. She carried this quality with her throughout her life, always eager to help a friend or family member in need. She was incredibly loyal and passionate. Becky was analytical, outspoken, and a wealth of knowledge. No matter the question, it always seemed she had the answer. Her laugh was contagious. She was generous, empathetic, and had the uncanny ability to make you feel “at home” no matter where you were. She is missed beyond measure.

Becky is survived by her husband, Albert Schulze; her daughter, Julia Zamboni (Jaime Poirier); her fur baby Charlie; her brothers David Lasky (Nichole Cooley) and Doug Weaver (Maria Weaver) ; her sisters Angela Race (Tyler Race) and Sara Lasky, and several nieces and nephews whom she adored. She is predeceased by her mother Margo Weaver, father Paul Lasky, and brothers Daniel Weaver and Brian Weaver.
