Linda Kuever, 80, of Round Top, New York, passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center on January 29, 2026.
She was born on April 8, 1945, in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Elsbeth deMan. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her beloved son, John C. Kuever, who passed away on October 25, 2018.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Johnny H. Kuever; her son, Eric Kuever, and his wife, Christine; and her nephews, Carl and Robert Warrings.
Raised on Long Island, Linda later relocated to the Cairo and Round Top area, where she met and married Johnny in 1967. She spent much of her career in the banking industry, working for Trustco Bank before retiring from the Bank of Greene County.
Linda had many passions, including puzzles, reading, and stitchery, but above all, she loved entertaining. She found great joy in opening her home and her heart to family and friends, creating countless memories filled with warmth and laughter.
She was actively involved with Round Top Cemetery and was a life member of the East Durham Ladies Auxiliary, as well as a member of the Greene County Women’s League.
Linda delighted in collecting Boyd’s Bears, which always brought a smile to her face, and she especially enjoyed wearing her collection of bright red hats while sharing friendship and fun with her Red Hatters Club. She treasured her friendships deeply and cherished every moment spent in the company of those she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 186 Main Street, Cairo, New York 12413.
