Kathleen Burger, age 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospice Center.

Kathleen was born on February 1, 1963, in Catskill, New York, to Donald and Elizabeth Burger, both of whom predeceased her.

She grew up in Athens, New York, and went on to graduate from Plattsburgh State University. Kathleen dedicated over 25 years of her professional life to Verizon, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment.

Kathleen had a deep love for cats and enjoyed fishing, camping, visiting casinos, and listening to country music. She was a devoted New York Giants fan and cherished time spent with those closest to her. She was also predeceased by her brother, Mark Burger, and her beloved wife, Karon Vink.

Kathleen is survived by her brothers, Donald Burger and William Burger (Sarah); her sisters, Colleen Holloway and her sister Irene Maxwell; her sister-in-law, Gloria Burger; and her nieces, Kelly Speenburgh (Molly Boyce) and Kristi Fallon (John) She is also survived by her life partner of over three years, Ruth McDermott, who brought her great happiness and companionship.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brady's Funeral Home 97 Mansion Street in Coxsackie, New York, with family and friends welcome. A celebration of Kathleen's life will beheld at the funeral home at 11:45 a.m. the same day.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen's memory to Animal Kind, Inc., 72 Warren St. Hudson, NY.

Kathleen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the W.C. Brady's Funeral Home in Coxsackie.
