Geraldine “Geri” Ryzner, 70, of Haines Falls passed away on May 16, 2026.

She was born and raised in Brooklyn to the late Ralph and Rose Juliano, growing up surrounded by the close-knit values of family, hard work, and community that would guide her throughout her life. From an early age, she cherished spending weekends and summer vacations upstate, creating lasting memories in the mountains. It was during those years upstate that she met the love of her life, beginning a lifelong partnership built on devotion, laughter, and family.

After marrying, she and her husband started their life together in Canarsie, Brooklyn, where they built a warm and loving home. Geri dedicated herself to raising their three children as a stay-at-home mother, providing unwavering support, guidance, and care to her family during their formative years. Her home was a place filled with love, strength, and compassion, and she took immense pride in being a devoted wife and mother.

In 1997, Geri and her family made the move to Haines Falls, embracing a new chapter of life in the community she had long held dear. She then began her career as a Legal Secretary, working for several law firms throughout the area. Known for her professionalism, discretion, and strong work ethic, she earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Her dedication and integrity ultimately led her to serve as the Confidential Secretary to the Greene County Attorney, a position she held with pride until her retirement in 2019.

Throughout every stage of her life, Geri was known for her kindness, resilience, and deep love for her family and friends.

Geri loved nothing more than spending time with her family and creating lasting memories together. She enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, while always carrying her love of classic 1960s rock and roll wherever she went. Geri could often be found watching episodes of I Love Lucy, listening to Elvis Presley, or tuning in to Cousin Brucie on Saturday nights. She also had a passion for word games and loved any opportunity to challenge her mind while sharing laughter and conversation with those she loved most.

She is survived by her loving husband Teddy of 44 years, and her children: Victoria Wood-Marshall (Tony) of Guilderland, Christina Ryzner of Guilderland, and Michael Ryzner (Casey) of Latham. Her pride & joy (grandchildren) Benjamin and Dylan Wood-Marshall, James, and Sofia Ryzner. She is also survived by her sister, Trudy Cavallaro (Joey) of Haines Falls and sister-in-law, Adele Licata of Whiting, NJ. Also, many nieces and nephews as well as her dear friends Sammy and Barbara Bevilacqua, and countless other friends!
