Emily Mae Smith, 20 years old of Greenville, NY, was tragically taken on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
Born on November 5, 2005, in Albany, NY, Emily was the daughter of Kevin and Faith Smith.
She graduated from Greenville High School in 2024 and went on to study Business Administration at SUNY Potsdam.
Emily was a passionate animal lover with impeccable taste in music, fashion, and beauty products. She had an infectious sense of humor and knew how to command an audience. She was also a fierce athletic competitor and strong leader who would do anything to support her teammates.
Emily was always the first person to ask you about your day and genuinely cared to hear your response. She was a loyal, non-judgmental friend who could support people through their worst and only see the best in them.
Emily also fostered strong personal values. At age 5, she declared herself a strict vegetarian, highlighting her devotion to being a friend to all, including animals.
Emily had a deep appreciation for travel and experiencing new cultures. Among the places she visited were Costa Rica to build shelters, and Spain to visit her good friend and exchange sister, Maria.
Emily loved a special coffee beverage with her family and friends and enjoyed perusing Marshalls, and she always saw the beauty and depth within a single sunset.
She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Faith, her sisters Hannah and Sydney, her brother, Trey, her dog, Cocoa, and her grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
