Eileen P. Tracy, 88, of Tannersville passed away on December 11, 2025, surrounded by family, friends, and love.

She was born in Manhattan to the late Thomas and Mary Ann Connors. Raised in Inwood, Manhattan, she attended Good Shepherd school.

A hard working and determined woman, she held many roles. Going from bus driver to nurse’s aid to LPN and to, finally, a Registered Nurse. As an OBGYN nurse she helped bring countless lives into the world.

In retirement she made sure to give back through volunteering. As a proud cancer survivor she supported others through the Greene Country Women’s League Cancer Patient Aid. She also devoted her time to volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the Department Of Aging, and remained an active member of her senior center.

She was an avid world traveler with her nursing friends and family. And most of all she will be remembered and deeply missed for her quick wit and sharp humor.

We find comfort in believing that John (her husband) descended from the heavens to bring Eileen on one final flight on his Cessna airplane into peaceful eternity.

She is survived by her beloved children: John Tracy, Patricia Tracy, Corinne Tracy, Theresa Tracy, and Jean Tracy; grandchildren Colline Laninga, Mary Tracy, Lauren Eaker, Camryn Eaker, and Samantha Briffa; brother James Connor; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Eileen is predeceased by her husband, John A. Tracy, and siblings: Theresa O’Rielly and Margaret Sheehan.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the care of Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill.

A memorial mass will be said by Father Jay on March 1 at Immaculate Conception Church in Haines Falls, NY.  Inurnment will take place in the springtime at Saint Anastasia Cemetery.
