Edward L. Trinkle lll, 58, of Athens, NY passed away on December 29, 2025, after a long illness.
He was born on February 4, 1967, son of Edward L. Trinkle, Jr. and Carolyn A. Hromek.
Eddie attended school at Coxsackie-Athens. His life passion was landscaping and selling Christmas trees at Skliba Tree Farm with his lifelong best friend Pepe Skliba.
Eddie also worked and belonged to the Laborers Local 190. He was employed at Quikrete in Ravena until he became ill and retired.
His other passions in life were camping with his nephew and hanging with his family and friends.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan his entire life―and let’s not forget WWF.
Eddie enjoyed music with “Simple Man” being his favorite song. He thought it was written for him because he was an only son (legend in his own mind lol).
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Christine Trinkle and his brother-in-law, Stephen “Putt Putt” Salluce, Sr.
Survivors include his sisters: Kathleen (Rich) Salluce-June, Donna (Frank) Gianola and Paula (Cooper) Hromek; nephew Stephen M. Salluce, Jr., lifelong friend Pepe Skliba, and his buddy Willie and his wife Fay.
Our family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for the kindness and compassion they gave our brother during the last two months of his life.
A celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on January 17,2026, from noon to 3 p.m. at Creekside Restaurant in Catskill. Come share a story and have a good laugh!
We would love to see your pictures of Eddie if you have any. Hope to see you there.
