Dave Wiley Sr., 57, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on February 18, 2026, at his home following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Catskill, New York. A graduate of Coxsackie-Athens High School in Coxsackie, New York, Dave dedicated 25 years of service to Elevance Health / Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment to those he worked with.
Dave was married to his high school sweetheart, Jeannine, with whom he built a life centered on love, family, and lasting memories. Together they created a beautiful family that was the center of Dave’s world.
He built his life around family, hard work, and the things he enjoyed most. Dave loved playing softball—especially pitching and winning championship games—and was well known among friends and teammates for his competitive spirit and love of the game. He also enjoyed bowling and basketball, working on cars, riding his Harley, and listening to live music. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing with his children and grandchildren, taking family vacations, and enjoying time with his dogs and cats.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannine Wiley; his sons, Dave Wiley Jr. and his girlfriend Hailey Hoffman, and Kevin Wiley and his fiancée Erin McGeary; his daughter-in-law Marissa Hart and her husband Jim Hart; his cherished grandchildren, Lucas Wiley, Carter Wiley, Lyla Wiley, Lennox Hart, and Nora Wiley, expected this summer; his father-in-law Barry Brandow; his brother-in-law Darrell Leone; his sister-in-law Joanne Leone; his brother-in-law William Leone; his brother-in-law Robert Martin; and his beloved niece Giuliana Leone and nephews Keehgan Leone and Caelan Leone and Robert Tillson.
Dave will be remembered for his generous heart, his laughter, his knuckleball and the way he brought people together. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family that will continue through the generations he was so proud of.
