Christina “Crissy” Jean Stewart, 48, of South Cairo, passed away at Albany Medical Center on September 26, 2026, following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Crissy was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Eileen Stewart. She is survived by her children, Brittany, Ryan, and her cherished granddaughter, Victoria, along with her siblings, extended family, and many loved ones who will miss her deeply.

Crissy’s journey through life had its share of challenges, but it also held many moments of happiness, love, and pride. She faced a long and difficult battle with substance use, but that struggle was only one part of her story. She also experienced moments of joy, strength, love, and accomplishment. Above all, her children were her greatest success and a source of deep love and pride. Her family will remember her not only for the challenges she faced, but for the person she was, the love she shared, and the memories they made together.

Crissy spent her final moments surrounded by family, who were by her side with love and support.

A private memorial service will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Crissy’s memory consider making a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, in honor of her beloved mother, Eileen, who courageously battled multiple sclerosis.
