Rotary Club of Cairo-Durham hosting visitors night

CAIRO―The Rotary Club of Cairo-Durham is excited to invite community members to a Visitors Night at the Red Rooster Bar & Grill on September 3 from 6-8 p.m. This event is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the club and the impactful work they do in the community.

Last year, their "Come Save Rotary" initiative helped revitalize the club, and since then, they have made significant strides in serving the community. They are eager to continue this momentum by welcoming new members who are passionate about making a difference.

"We brought in 11 new members with 4-5 people still interested in the great work we do here in Cairo-Durham" said Beau O'Loendorf, past club president.

The Rotary Club of Cairo-Durham is dedicated to various community service projects, including:

Backpack Program: Providing essential supplies for local students in need.

Road Clean-Up: Keeping our community clean and environmentally friendly.

Trunk or Treat: Offering a safe and fun Halloween experience for children.

Shoe Closet: Ensuring that every child has access to proper footwear.

Christmas Gifts for Children in Need: Spreading joy during the holiday season.

Scholarships: Supporting local students in their educational pursuits.

At Visitors Night, attendees will have the chance to meet current members, learn about initiatives, and discover how they can get involved. The club believes that everyone has something valuable to contribute and is excited to grow membership to strengthen the community further.
