




RENSSELAERVILLE―A Rensselaerville man is behind bars after police say he had repeated sexual contact with a child.
Travis J. Hawley, 24, was arrested by State Police on February 25 and charged with first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a class B felony.
On February 17, State Police investigators received information reporting a past sexual assault of a child.
“The investigation determined that Hawley allegedly had repeated sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 13 in Albany County over the course of approximately two years,” State Police reported.
Hawley was arraigned at the Colonie Town Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or a $100,000 partially secured bond.
