CATSKILL―A man reported missing from Catskill last fall was wanted by police and has now been located.

Robert M. Owen, 26, was the subject of a missing persons bulletin issued by State Police on November 26. At the time, troopers said the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was seeking the public’s assistance in locating Owen, who was last seen August 26 on Landon Avenue in Catskill.

“It is believed that Owen left the Catskill area, leaving behind his vehicle and other personal items at the friend’s residence,” State Police said at the time.

On Thursday, January 22, Owen was arrested as a fugitive from justice by the Bellingham Police Department in Washington state, jail records show. He was remanded to the Whatcom County Jail without bail.

According to the Greene County District Attorney’s Office, Owen was arrested on a warrant for violating probation and will be extradited back to Greene County. Additional information is expected to be released this week.
