ACRA―Celebrate the season with creativity at the Master Gardener volunteers’ annual Holiday Wreath Workshop. Join them on Saturday, November 21, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia & Greene Counties’ Hudson office or Acra office for a hands-on, relaxing morning of wreath-making.
For $55, participants receive all the materials and tools needed to design their own fresh, beautiful holiday wreath. Master Gardener volunteers will share the basics of wreath construction and give an introduction to the evergreen plants and natural materials used to create holiday wreaths. Participants also learn about sustainable harvesting practices and how to care for your wreath so it lasts throughout the season.
Feel free to bring ribbons or other personal touches to make each creation unique. Participants will also receive an educational handout featuring common evergreens and other natural materials used in holiday wreaths. Pre-registration is required. This beloved workshop fills quickly, so reserve your spot today!
The cost is $55 per person (includes all materials and your completed wreath to take home). Each location can accommodate up to 20 participants, so early registration is recommended!
Registration closes on Saturday, November 14, or when all spots are filled. Register at ccecolumbiagreene.org/wreath-workshop-2026.
All proceeds support the Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
“We’re excited to offer this hands-on workshop again,” says Xandra Powers, community horticulture coordinator. “It’s a fun and creative way to kick off the holiday season and connect with others in the community.”
