Hannacroix woman, 26, killed in Route 144 crash

NEW BALTIMORE―The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a head-on crash that claimed the life of a Hannacroix woman.

It happened at around 1:56 p.m. Tuesday on State Route 144 in New Baltimore.

According to the sheriff’s office, a westbound 2019 Honda Civic crossed over into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2017 Subaru Forester.

The driver of the Honda, 26-year-old Jenna Mohr of Hannacroix, was extricated from the vehicle by the New Baltimore Fire Department and pronounced dead at the scene.

Charles Rappa, 65, of New Baltimore was the operator of the Subaru. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Albany Medical Center by Ravena Rescue.

Also responding to the scene were Greene County Paramedics and New York State Police.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing, the sheriff's office reported.
