CREATE offering grants for local arts and cultural organizations

CATSKILL―CREATE Council On The Arts is pleased to announce the opening of its 2026 Greene County Cultural Fund (GCCF) grant cycle. These grants are made possible with funds allocated by the Greene County Legislature and are administered by CREATE Council on the Arts for arts and cultural organizations within Greene County.

Arts and cultural nonprofit organizations seeking funding for general operating or programmatic support in Greene County are encouraged to apply for a GCCF grant through CREATE. Applications are due by March 2, 2026. Applications are reviewed by peer panels composed of Greene County community members and notifications will be sent to applicants by April 2026.

In 2025, ten Greene County organizations received a total of $40,000 in grant funding.

Who Can Apply:

- Organizations that have been resident in Greene County for at least two years.

- Organizations that provide regularly scheduled or full seasonal cultural programs and/or services in Greene County.

- Organizations that, generally, have annual operating budgets more than $20,000 including in-kind contributed services and goods.

CREATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS is a non-profit, arts service organization whose purpose is to support and advance the arts and cultural community by broadening and enriching creative resources and economic growth in the region. CREATE serves as the Statewide Community Re-grant arts organization for Greene, Columbia and Schoharie Counties. Since 1975, CREATE has provided information and essential services to artists, arts organizations, cultural and educational institutions, civic groups, community agencies and the general public, and continues to grow its outreach as a regional arts council.
