GREENE COUNTY—The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the five honorees who will be recognized at the 2026 Greene County Recognition Gala, taking place Wednesday, September 23, at Pegasus Restaurant in Coxsackie.

Each year, the Recognition Gala celebrates the people, businesses and organizations whose leadership, dedication and contributions help make Greene County a stronger place to live, work and do business. This year’s honorees were selected from nominations submitted by the community.

Business Leader Of The Year

Kristen Leach

President, Windham Mountain Club

Leach leads Windham Mountain Club with a collaborative, people-first approach rooted in trust and transparency. Her commitment to employee development and the Windham community help guide thoughtful growth while honoring the mountain’s heritage.

Entrepreneur Of The Year

Angela and Steve Worth

Owners, Meadowbrook Farm Catskills

Through vision and creativity, the Worths have transformed their family farm into a premier wedding and event destination, creating signature events that bring people together, support local businesses and showcase all that Greene County has to offer.

Employee Of The Year

Shannon Stewart

Finance & HR Manager, DS Home Services

As head of billing and human resources, Stewart brings empathy and professionalism to her work, dedicating countless hours to supporting and mentoring her coworkers while ensuring every customer feels respected, valued and cared for.

For more than two decades, Evans’ leadership and dedication to public service have helped strengthen emergency medical care and improve the lives of residents across Greene County.

Excellence In Arts & Culture

Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival

For decades, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival has preserved and celebrated bluegrass music through world-class performances, educational workshops, jam sessions and mentorship. By welcoming music lovers of all ages, the festival supports local businesses and strengthens Greene County’s reputation as a cultural destination.

“This year’s honorees represent so much of what makes Greene County special,” said Beth Stewart, president and executive director of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.

“They lead, serve, create opportunities, support others and invest in this community. The Recognition Gala gives us a chance to celebrate not only what they have accomplished, but the impact they have on the people and places around them,” Stewart added.

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Recognition Gala will bring together business and community leaders from throughout the county on Wednesday, September 23, at Pegasus Restaurant in Coxsackie to celebrate honorees and their contributions.

The Chamber invites the community to join in recognizing this year’s honorees and celebrating the people and organizations helping Greene County thrive.
