COXSACKIE―The Bronck Museum’s kickoff event of the 2026 summer season "Happy Birthday America," takes place on Sunday, May 17 from 1-4 p.m. They invite all to join them for a memorable and immersive celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary, a milestone that offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the nation’s founding and the people who shaped it.

The event features Revolutionary re-enactors, musical performances, a historical lecture by Greene County Historian Jonathan Palmer, the signing of Coxsackie’s “Declaration of Independence,” opening of the new exhibit “The Country Doctor on the Road,” and loads of opportunities to connect with the amazing history Greene County has to offer.

This special event welcomes the community to step back in time and experience history firsthand through engaging activities and dynamic live interpretation.

Throughout the afternoon, costumed interpreters will bring the past to life, sharing stories, demonstrations, and insights that capture the spirit of the Revolutionary era.
