DURHAM―Questar III BOCES Heavy Equipment students at Marilyn A. Noonan School at Durham are taking their learning out into the community this spring.
Students are gaining hands-on experience at the Michael J. Quill Irish Cultural & Sports Centre in East Durham, where they're addressing drainage issues, installing a culvert, clearing land for a new event space, repairing driveways, and performing on-site work.
Community projects like this help bring their classroom instruction into the real world.
