Loretta M. Gutierrez, 62, of Catskill, NY, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on December 30, 2025.

She was born on May 20, 1963, to the late beloved Ruben and Ellen Gutierrez.

Loretta made friends everywhere she went. The love and care that she showed people was unmatched and that was especially evident in her work as a CNA for 20+ years. She cared for her residents as if they were her own family. Family was everything to her and some of her greatest joys in life came from spending time with them all. Her humor and kindness spread to everyone in the room.

One of her other joys in life were movies and TV shows. Spending an afternoon watching movies or shows was a favorite way to pass the time for her. Her favorites included Charmed, anything with Barbra Streisand or Harry Potter.

The biggest things that made her happy though were being known as "the twin's mom" and life in general. Loretta took every day as a blessing and shared that with those lucky enough to have known her. Her ilfe and love was a force and the world is a lesser place without her.

Loretta is survived by her two precious daughters, Nichole(Eli) Hammond and Ashley (Ron) Gutierrez, along with the light of her life, her grandson Silas. She is also survived by her sisters, Becky Gutierrez and Cathy Gutierrez, her brother Chris Gutierrez, her nephews, Kyle and Joey, and her nieces, Nina, Gabby, and Skyla, along with many other family members and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited for a celebration of life for Loretta on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at W.C. Brady's Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie, with a life celebration at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, if people would instead like to donate to Columbia Greene Humane Society or the American Heart Association in Loretta's name.

Arrangements are under the direction of the W.C. Brady's Funeral Home.
