Carol A. Young, 82, of Cairo Junction Road, Catskill passed away on December 18, 2025.

She was born in Manhattan, a daughter of the late Rocco and Adele Miraglia.

An area resident since 1964, Carol worked for 35 years at Grand Union throughout the Hudson Valley.

A former member of the Cairo Elks Lodge, Carol was an avid bowler.

Loving wife of Arthur Sherwood “Stretch” Young who died November 2, 2015; Mother of Robert Levell (Jackie) of Aurora CO, Adele Carr (James) of Cairo, Steven Young (Cheryl) of Lebanon, CT, Mary Young of Catskill, Donna Fauci (George) of Maricopa, AZ, and the late Maureen Swezey who died in2013; grandmother of Michelle Ann Coloccia, James Carr Jr., Michael Carr, Anita Collins, Laura Fish, Danyl Moore, David Levell, Sean Swezey, Jaime Brown, Stephen Fauci and the late Levi Moore; great grandmother of Gianna Coloccia, Joseph Coloccia, Lorelai Coloccia, Eleanor Collins, Taryn Zohlman, Aleczander Zohlman, Blake Norris, Elly Norris, and Adelia Fish; great-great grandmother of Melody McBurnie.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 22 at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Heights, Catskill from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Mike McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Town of Catskill Cemetery.
